Colored Trees

Japan is in the most beautiful season of a year.
Many trees are decorated with colored leaves.

The sweets offering

These are the sweets offering for the Bon festival (the Buddhist festival of the dead).
These sweets were sold being put in the left green case.
This case expresses the lotus leave, and these sweets express the lotus flower.

The lotus flower is the symbol flower of Buddhism.

Flower?

This is called "Saika" in Japanese.
"Saika" means vegetables displayed like flowers.
This is put for dead ancestors.

A screen

This is a screen put on my house's entrance.
Every visitor meets this screen when they open the door of my house.
My image of this screen is heian period of Japanese histry.

My house's garden

This is my house's garden.

I like this garden very much.

A pine tree, on the right side of the picture, needs trimming by the gardener once a year.
